Role Intro- Desktop Support Engineer(Germany)

We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Desktop Support Engineer(Germany) to join our dedicated Corporate IT NOC team!

Your Key Responsibilities

⦁  Role is to support the operations and making day to day changes in the network environment & desk side support management.

⦁  Desktop Support Analyst must provide business clients with guidance and second level support by assisting in problem resolution. The DS Engineer acts as the key contact for on-site and remote clients for workstation problems, requests for new equipment or services and production problems and inquiries.
⦁  Experienced data network engineer working on mid/large / complex / mission critical data network environments, ability to perform level2+ troubleshooting, diagnosis, and implementation of changes on products, protocols.
⦁  Routing and Switching – Preferred to have a candidate knowledge of Routing protocols (i.e. BGP) and switching environment
⦁ Wireless – Candidate with working knowledge of wireless technology, Access Points is a must
⦁  Perform Network traffic analysis and utilization monitoring for server ports, switch parameters (e.g., CPU utilization) for all switches and routers on the LAN, and for the switch uplinks. Reporting to be provided to client as requested as well as made available through portal access.
⦁ Should have expert knowledge of router, firewall and switching systems.
⦁  Staying abreast of Telecommunications Industry knowledge, Internet Concepts, Network Technical Support, Networking Concepts, Internet Fundamentals, VOIP, IP routing and Switching, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP Administration.
⦁ Ensure quality and profitable services are performed to the agreed SLA.
⦁ Good skills in user IT infrastructure – Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Handhelds, Smartphone etc.
⦁  Manage Up to date of Asset inventory, Generating Reports and publishing to the management periodically.
⦁ Assist with access to WAN, LAN (and LAN segment), WLAN, print, and file services.
⦁ Help in Continuous services improvement to operations.
⦁ Perform weekly PCs/Notebooks health check/housekeeping for all PCs
⦁  Perform necessary testing (compatibility test through co-existence/compatibility test) prior to installation of patches, upgrades, refresh etc
⦁ Maintain and update the Desktop standards (including equipment settings) and procedures.
⦁ Maintain a copy of master image in a secure offsite location.
⦁ Implement hardware refresh or upgrades time to time.
⦁ Technical Abilities: -
⦁ Hardware Break/Fix Service-Routine Desktop and other ancillary hardware issue support
⦁ Data/Voice Network Support- Basic phone system support and data network troubleshooting
⦁ W-Fi Support/Mobile Device Support-General support
⦁ Print/Fax/Copy support-Standard support
⦁ Data Backup/Recovery Service-Backing up/restoring user profiles and other data
⦁ New Technology/Tools Training-end user training on software and technology related items
⦁ Hardware moves-Relocating end users and/or other eqipment as needed
⦁ Patching and Upgrading of PC’s – routine upgrades that cannot be performed remotely
⦁ IMAC: Installations, Moves, Adds, and Changes (IMACs)
⦁ Remote Systems Mgmt., Mobile Access Support, Executive VIP Support
⦁ Language preferences-:Fluent in English and German
