Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an integral part of VGL. The communities in which VGL is operating are a part of its ecosystem.

VGL measures its business success by the impact it creates on ground for people beyond its immediate operations. At VGL, we are focused on building a more equitable society through our initiatives in healthcare, poverty alleviation, and educational advancement. For every sale made at VGL’s retail channels, we provide a meal for a child, and this allows our customers to be a part of something greater, making every purchase more meaningful. This is implemented under our flagship program Your Purchase Feeds (earlier known as 'One for One') initiative. The beneficiaries of the initiative are school-going underprivileged children who need nourishment and care. By providing them meals, the programme takes a holistic look at their development.
In this regard, VGL takes actions to align our CSR commitments to drive long-term value in education and health.

CSR Activities at Vaibhav Global Ltd, India

  • Continued our engagement with Akshaya Patra in India for providing over 53,000 hot mid-day meals daily to almost 350 schools according to the One for One initiative at TJC UK and Shop LC USA.
  • Continued our engagement to offered scholarships for higher studies to deserving students through Sumedha, Jaipur.

  • Rebranded Shop LC One for One program to Your Purchase Feeds – Launched in April. Partners who make this possible: Akshaya Patra, No Kid Hungry®, and Backpack Friends.
  • Support Texas Advocacy Project supplying over 8000 handbags since 2019 to their Handbags for Hope program in Texas.
  • Sponsor of Partners in Education Annual Gala, supporting under-served school children in the Austin/Round Rock, Texas Community.
  • Recognized by Governor Abbott for our partnership with the Ladders for Leaders® Internship Program

  • Litter Picking event in local area in June
  • 4 days volunteering with 21 members of staff at St. Paul’s CE Primary School in association with Magic Breakfast Charity in August
  • Jo’s Trust Run to raise money and awareness for cervical cancer in June

  • During the COVID pandemic TJC donated PPE to local councils, nursing home and others in need.
  • Began weekly All Hands meetings during pandemic.
  • TJC donated stock to help NSPCC & Women's Aid donation.
  • Foodbanks - We encouraged staff to support the local foodbanks by bringing in food they did not need or buying from the supermarket.
  • Donated 30 tablets to school to aid home learning in association with Magic Breakfast Charity.
  • Donated aged inventory to Women's Aid and NSPCC.
  • Donated to Felix project- a charity which helps deliver food to elderly people. During the pandemic we gave a one-off donation to help them during the unfortunate times.
  • PPE Donations to local Care Homes and Councils.
  • Increased pay of our Warehouse Staff & One off Bonus to thank them for their hard work during the pandemic.
